In this release we have a new feature and improvements to the Gallery text moderation. These chances are halved in provinces over 1000 population and in wastes and entirely negated in provinces over 2500 population and in wastes over 1000 population. It’s time for a new update. Finally, the optimal chances went up from 90% under 1000 population and 45% up to 2500 population to 100% under 1000 population and 50% up to 2500 population.Īs a result, in summary, Rebirth now functions as follows: each month, every low population province with Growth 1 or more has 10 percent chance per candle to gain approximately 180 population and 1 additional income. Also, wastelands are now affected again by the mod but only up to 1000 population and at a halved speed. Since dominion 9 is now necessary to receive as much population as in v1.01 at dominion 7, the gained population was increased from 150 to 180. While before v1.02 the mod's effect only incremented at dominion values 3, 5 and 7 and also was less efficient at Growth levels 2 and 1, this is no longer the case. Just released v1.02, a large change of rules that also comes with a large simplification in the inner working of the mod thanks to the relatively recent addition of the req_domchance modding command. dm file and in the Mod Compatibility Project, but this doesn't matter much because Rebirth doesn't use any ID and is perfectly compatible with all mods as long as you're willing to apply its new rules to the game. Note: All of this mod's used IDs (and more!) can be found both on top of its. So tell me what you think, and thank you already for your interest!Īnd now, if you wish to release the world from death and darkness, DOWNLOAD REBIRTH V1.06! Destroying STILL is far easier than creating, and that's how it ought to be! Finally, abusing the mechanic is hopefully rather difficult, in particular due to the fact that it wont affect provinces over 2500 population.Īlthough this is my first mod for Dominions 5, some of you already know my works for Dominions 4, and thus, as always, I'll do my best to improve and balance this mod according to your feedback! I have no certainty whatsoever that the numbers are right, especially since I only tested the mod for one or two hours before releasing it. In addition, the effect is small, but frequent, meaning that you'll need to keep your efforts going on in order to get meaningful results - which is realistic and preserves the terrifying aura of popkill nations. However, since both dominion AND growth are required for the event to take effect, you need to get the province under firm control before seeing it return to life it wont work as soon as you captured it from Ermor. Provinces over 500 population where it happens additionally receive a permanent 1 extra income.Īs you can see, the mechanic is very simple, and it is passive as well, allowing everyone to use it without prerequisites other than a good dominion strength and growth scales. These chances are doubled in provinces under 500 population, halved in provinces over 1500 population and in wastes, and entirely negated in provinces over 3500 population, in wastes over 1500 population, and in provinces with any Blood mage. With Rebirth enabled in its last version, each month, every low population province with Growth 1 or more has 10 percent chance per candle to gain approximately 250 population. So, Rebirth is a very simple mod that's intended to reduce the irreversible nefarious effects of popkill nations like MA Ermor and LA Lemuria by creating a very slow way of repopulating dead or deserted provinces in addition, it has the secondary effect of very slightly buffing the economies of EA Therodos, MA Asphodel and LA R'lyeh IF they have growth scales (which is cool in my opinion, as these nations aren't extremely powerful). Having noticed a great concern from some players about popkill nations, I decided to try solving their issues, and here is my quick attempt, as first published on this thread ! It certainly isn't the first there was, but the only one I saw for dom 5 yet suffered from pretty big problems in my opinion, so I chose to go another route and see where it leads.
